en.malanginspirasi.com – The request of Cristiano Ronaldo for a face-to-face meeting with Portugal coach Jorge Jesus and Portuguese Football Federation (FA) president Pedro Proença has gone viral on X after staying on bench for the entire Nations League match against Norway.
Sources close to the team say Ronaldo and Jesus had previously agreed that the veteran forward would feature in Portugal’s home Nations League fixtures and would be introduced in the second half against Norway.
Instead, Jesus kept him on the bench for the full 90 minutes, later explaining the decision was based on the flow of the match.
Visibly upset, Ronaldo skipped Tuesday’s training session in Malmö, and after a brief conversation with the coach, he returned to the team hotel.
He is now seeking a direct meeting with both Jesus and Proença.
The FA president has already travelled to Copenhagen in an effort to mediate the situation.

Jesus has insisted he speaks with Ronaldo on a daily basis and continues to value the 39-year-old’s tactical contribution, particularly with Thursday’s crucial clash against Denmark approaching.
