EN.malanginspirasi.com – Indonesia’s Minister of Finance, Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, has officially announced plans to open approximately 300 to 380 Civil Servant Candidate (CPNS) positions at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC). The vacancies are exclusively for high school graduates (SMA) or equivalent qualifications.
The announcement was made during a media briefing at the Ministry of Finance headquarters in Jakarta on Tuesday, 7 April 2026. The recruitment drive is scheduled to begin in May 2026 and aims to strengthen the agency’s technical operational workforce in the field.
“If in the Ministry of Finance itself, as I mentioned earlier, we will open positions in Customs and Excise for 380 high school graduates. Because I also need people who are truly at the technical level in the field,” Purbaya said, as reported by multiple media outlets.
According to the Minister, the Directorate General of Customs and Excise currently needs additional personnel who are ready to work directly at ports, airports, and border checkpoints. Their duties will include supervising incoming and outgoing goods, conducting physical examinations, and enforcing customs and excise regulations. These roles do not require a university degree; instead, they prioritize practical technical skills and field readiness.
The initiative forms part of the Ministry of Finance’s broader effort to rapidly fill critical operational positions that have long suffered from staff shortages.
The CPNS selection process will follow the standard procedure managed by the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) through the official SSCASN portal. Applicants are strongly advised to monitor official announcements on beacukai.go.id and sscasn.bkn.go.id, as detailed information on regional formations, specific requirements, and examination schedules has not yet been released.
In November 2025, Minister Purbaya had initially mentioned a plan to recruit 300 high school graduates. The number was later revised upward to 380 positions to match the latest staffing needs of the Customs and Excise agency.
The opening of these vacancies is expected to create wider opportunities for high school graduates across Indonesia to join the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in an institution responsible for protecting national revenue from customs and excise while strengthening oversight of international trade.
Prospective applicants are reminded to obtain all information and complete registration only through official government websites. Several unofficial links circulating on social media have already been identified as hoaxes.
