BRI Disburses Rp16.79 Trillion in Subsidized Home Loans to 122,838 Low-Income Borrowers

EN.malanginspirasi.com – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) has disbursed Rp16.79 trillion in subsidized Home Ownership Loans (KPR Subsidi) by the end of February 2026. The financing has reached 122,838 low-income earners (MBR) across Indonesia, providing direct support to the government’s national housing program.

The realization in the first two months of 2026 continues BRI’s positive trend in the subsidized housing loan sector. Throughout 2025, the bank disbursed Rp16.16 trillion to more than 118,000 borrowers. In January–February 2026 alone, BRI added Rp630 billion and served thousands of new borrowers.

BRI channels its subsidized KPR through the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) scheme managed by the Public Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera). The program offers interest subsidies, making monthly installments affordable for low-income communities.

As of 26 February 2026, national FLPP disbursements reached 19,741 housing units. BRI contributed 1,367 units, or 6.92% of the national total, placing it in fourth position after BTN, BSI, and BNI.

2026 Targets and Quota Increase

The government has raised BRI’s KPR FLPP quota to 60,000 units in 2026 — nearly double the previous year’s realization. In terms of value, BRI is targeting Rp8 trillion in Housing Program Loans (KPP) or Housing KUR for the full year. By February 2026, BRI had already realized Rp2.3 trillion for 17,443 borrowers, achieving 28.75% of its annual target.

BRI President Director Hery Gunardi stated that the distribution of subsidized KPR is part of the bank’s commitment to supporting the government’s 3 Million Houses Program and Asta Cita agenda.

“We are not only focusing on the consumption side, but also on production, so that a strong housing ecosystem can be formed,” he said.

The program also creates a multiplier effect on the economy. In addition to helping low-income families own decent housing, it stimulates MSME activities in the construction materials supply chain, generates employment, and strengthens regional economic growth.

BRI maintains prudent credit principles in its lending. The bank leverages its extensive branch network reaching remote areas and digitalizes the application process through the BRImo app to speed up public access.

Previously, Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas Maruarar Sirait expressed appreciation for BRI’s role as one of the largest national distributors of Housing Program Loans. With a more ambitious target in 2026, BRI is expected to accelerate disbursements to help achieve the national FLPP quota of 350,000 units optimally.

Eligible citizens can apply for BRI Subsidized KPR through the nearest branch or via the BRImo application. The program remains one of the government’s main instruments in ensuring equitable access to decent housing for all segments of Indonesian society.
