Malanginspirasi.com – Hundreds of residents from various regions across Malang Regency flocked to Kanjuruhan Stadium in Kepanjen to attend the Kepandjen Djaman Mbiyen Festival, held from December 5–14, 2025, as part of the celebrations for the 1265th anniversary of Malang Regency.
The event serves as a space for nostalgia while providing cultural education, inviting the community to rediscover the historical traces and daily life of old Kepanjen.
From the moment visitors enter the stadium grounds, they are immersed in a rich atmosphere of the past. Various sections of the festival depict aspects of Kepanjen society in bygone eras, ranging from economic activities in traditional markets to the diverse cultural elements that once formed part of everyday life.
This concept makes attendees feel as if they are “returning” to the past, reminiscing about the cultural roots that continue to form the foundation of Malang Regency today.
