Roblox Adjusts Policies to Comply with Indonesia’s Child Protection Regulations

en.Malanginspirasi.com – A popular gaming platform Roblox commits to comply with child protection regulations in Indonesia, including the age restrictions on users as the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) stipulates.

“Roblox is proud to serve a dynamic and enthusiastic global community, including millions of players from Indonesia, by providing a positive online space for learning, creating, and having fun,” the company wrote in an official statement in Jakarta, as quoted from Info Publik.

The company has conducted a constructive dialogue with the Indonesian government and stakeholders in the digital security sector.

Furthermore, Roblox emphasized that it respects all applicable laws in Indonesia and supports the government’s efforts to protect children and families in the digital space.

As a concrete step, Roblox is adjusting its user protection system to comply with national regulations without compromising previously implemented global security standards.

These adjustments include strengthening controls on content and communication features, particularly for users under 16, through interaction restrictions and stricter content filtering.

Furthermore, Roblox also confirmed that it will continue to collaborate with the Kemkomdigi in conducting risk assessments of   national regulations.

It includes the implementation of the Government Regulation on Governance for Safe and Healthy Digital Children (PP TUNAS).

These protection efforts are further strengthened by the implementation of the Indonesian Game Rating System (IGRS) age classification system, which has been in effect since January 2026.

By completing this step, Roblox affirms its commitment to providing a safe, positive digital ecosystem that aligns with Indonesian values and regulations.
