The Sony and Marvel sequel, starring Tom Holland and Zendaya, has pulled in a massive $1.155 billion globally, split between $449 million domestically and $706.3 million internationally.
That performance edges out Disney’s ‘Toy Story 5’ which has accumulated $1.067 billion since its June release.
This latest achievement adds to a historic theatrical run that already boasts the biggest domestic Tuesday in box office history with $42 million, beating 2021’s ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ ($39 million), alongside the highest-grossing Monday on record at $47 million, surpassing 2018’s ‘Black Panther’($40 million).
Furthermore, the blockbuster became the fastest movie to reach $400 million in North America in just four days.

It is also the second-quickest to cross the $1 billion threshold globally in six days, trailing only 2019’s ‘Avengers: Endgame’, which hit $1.2 billion worldwide in three days.
These milestones follow its record-breaking $360 million domestic debut and the second-largest global opening of all time at $932 million.
“So I guess movies aren’t dead after all?” Tom Rothman, chairman of Sony Pictures, quipped on the Sunday of opening weekend.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige credits the ever-enduring appeal of Spider-Man, as well as the actor who has donned the Spandex in four solo adventures, for the heroic box office success of this movie.
