en.malanginspirasi.com – Max Verstappen emerged victorious in a dramatic, rain-delayed 2026 F1 Singapore Grand Prix Sprint race at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, Saturday (10/10/2026).

The Red Bull driver converted his sprint pole position into a dominant win on intermediate tires after early leader George Russell crashed out on lap one and McLaren teammates Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri collided in the closing stages.

Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc completed the podium in second and third place, while championship leader Kimi Antonelli capitalized on late chaos to finish fourth.

The race got underway roughly thirty minutes later than scheduled following a heavy pre-race downpour. The storm left sectors one and third heavily soaked while the middle sector remained only damp. With the entire grid bolting on intermediate tires, the slippery tarmac immediately generated intense wheel-to-wheel action.

Mirroring the start from the previous weekend in Sepang, Mercedes driver George Russell caught the field off guard, squeezing past polesitter Verstappen off the line.

Russell quickly checked out and began building a gap, only to throw away his hard work by crashing heavily at the final corner of the opening lap.

Russell’s exit handed the lead back to Verstappen. Following the restart, the Red Bull star controlled the pace impeccably.

As the track gradually dried out, Verstappen expertly managed his intermediate rubber, steadily pulling away from the chasing pack to secure a comfortable win.

Behind the leader, the race devolved into pure chaos.

Lewis Hamilton spearheaded Ferrari’s charge with a brilliant launch that rocketed him up the order to secure a podium finish.

Meanwhile, tension boiled over inside the McLaren camp in the closing laps.

As rubber wore thin on the drying asphalt, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri went wheel-to-wheel. Norris misjudged a move at Turn 5, tagging his teammate into a spin that effectively ruined both drivers’ podium aspirations.

The late-race melee created opportunities for the chasing pack. Championship leader Kimi Antonelli capitalized to cross the line in fourth, while Liam Lawson (Racing Bulls), Ollie Bearman (Haas), and Nico Hulkenberg (Audi) all profited. Norris salvaged eighth, while Piastri dropped to a lapped fourteenth.

It was an intensely attritional afternoon overall. A multi-car collision took out Alex Albon, Gabriel Bortoleto, and Valtteri Bottas, and an early-lap clash sidelined Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll on the opening tour alongside early retirements for Isack Hadjar and Franco Colapinto.
