989 New Students of SMK PGRI 3 Malang Participate in the School Love Activities at UNISMA

Malanginspirasi.com – A total of 989 new students at SMK PGRI 3 Malang (Skariga) participated in the opening ceremony of the 38th annual School Love Activities/Kegiatan Cinta Sekolah (KCS) for the 2025/2026 academic year. The event took place on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the courtyard of Islamic University of Malang (UNISMA). This activity marked the beginning of the school environment introduction period (MPLS) for the new students.

Under the theme Tri Astha Garda Niskala, KCS serves as an initial platform for instilling values based on the Seven Habits of Excellent Indonesian Children. These include discipline, patriotism, and the cultivation of exemplary character.

The students appeared enthusiastic from early morning. They came not only from Malang but also from various regions such as Sulawesi, Ambon, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Kalimantan, and Sumatra.

Representing the Mayor of Malang, the Head of the Malang City Education and Culture Department, Suwarjana, symbolically inaugurated the KCS event. In his speech, Suwarjana encouraged the students to study diligently and avoid negative behaviors.

“Welcome to Malang City, the city of education. Become the golden generation of Indonesia’s future with a spirit of learning and good character,” he conveyed.

An initiative demonstrating the cultivation of healthy habits and mutual care was carried out through a communal milk-drinking activity. Each student brought two bottles of milk: one for communal consumption and the other to be donated to the surrounding community. This initiative is part of the seven habits developed by the school.

UNISMA Rector Junaidi also delivered a welcoming speech.

“We hope your presence here brings new enthusiasm. UNISMA is open as part of an inclusive educational ecosystem in Malang City,” he stated.

Meanwhile, the Principal of SMK PGRI 3 Malang, M. Lukman Hakim, explained that this year’s KCS was designed not only as an introduction to the school but also as a means to build strong character and resilience.

“We instill spiritual values, social care, and patriotism because SMK PGRI 3 Malang is an industry-based school that upholds a culture of healthy work ethics and discipline,” Lukman explained.

The KCS series will be held from July 7 to 12, 2025. Initial activities will take place at the school and will conclude with character strengthening at the Air Defense Artillery Training Center (Pusdik Arhanud).

Over the course of six days, participants will be introduced to their majors, school regulations, as well as routines for worship and social etiquette.
