en.malanginspirasi.com – Indonesia and Thailand strengthen strategic partnership across various sectors by signing partnership documents at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta as one of the concrete outcomes of the Thai Prime Minister’s official visit and reaffirmed the two countries’ commitment.
The first document signed was the Roadmap on Strategic Partnership Between Indonesia and Thailand 2026–2030 by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand Sihasak Phuangketkeow.
This document serves as a joint guideline for strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries over the next five years.
Furthermore, the two countries also signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Indonesian Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education and the Thai Ministry of Education on cooperation in the education sector.
Minister Abdul Mu’ti of Primary and Secondary Education and Thai Minister of Education Prasert Jantararuangtong signed the document as a foundation for strengthening collaboration in developing the education sector and improving the quality of human resources.
In a joint press statement, President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto emphasized that the bilateral meeting resulted in several concrete achievements that will strengthen relations between Indonesia and Thailand in the future.

In addition to government-to-government cooperation, he also welcomed the private sector’s commitment to expanding collaboration between the two countries.
“We also welcome the commitment to cooperation and investment from the private sector, namely the MoU between the Tourism Authority of Thailand and TransNusa in the fields of tourism and connectivity, and the MoU between Bio-Axel and Pro-Konsilium regarding the organic waste processing project,” he said.
President Prabowo also expressed his appreciation for PM Anutin’s official visit and expressed his optimism that the strategic partnership between Indonesia and Thailand will continue to grow and benefit the people of both countries.
“Your Excellency, Prime Minister Anutin, once again, I thank you for your visit and for our shared commitment to strengthening relations between our two countries. I am confident that Indonesia and Thailand will continue to ensure that this strategic partnership will bring tangible benefits to the prosperity of the people of both countries,” said Prabowo.
The signing of these various memorandums of understanding marks an important milestone in strengthening the strategic partnership between Indonesia and Thailand.
This cooperation encompasses not only government-to-government relations but also expands collaboration in education, investment, tourism, connectivity, and sustainable development to deliver tangible benefits to both countries.
