Malanginspirasi.com – In commemoration of the 2025 TNI Army Heroes’ Day (Hari Juang Kartika TNI AD), Kodim 0833/Baladhika Jaya Kota Malang held a Community Health Service (Bakti Kesehatan) offering free general medical treatment at Rampal Field, Malang City, on Wednesday, 10 December 2025.
The activity is part of a series of events marking Army Heroes’ Day, which is celebrated annually on 15 December and conducted simultaneously by Kodim units across East Java.

TNI’s Commitment to the People
Commander of Korem 083/Baladhika Jaya, Colonel (Inf) Kohir, stated that the free health service demonstrates the Indonesian Army’s ongoing commitment to be present and assist the community.
“The TNI always strives to deliver real benefits through various social programs, including health support for the people of Greater Malang (Malang Raya) and East Java in general,” he said.
“Through this activity, we want to ensure that the TNI is always among the people. Whenever the community faces difficulties or needs help, the TNI must be there to provide support,” Colonel Kohir emphasized.
He added that the event also serves as a moment to strengthen the bond between the TNI and the people.
This year, the organizers targeted around 1,000 participants, but Colonel Kohir stressed there is no strict upper limit.
“We are aiming for 1,000 people, but if more come, we will still serve them. As long as medical personnel are available and medicines are in stock, we will help everyone,” he explained.

Health Services Provided
The services include treatment for common illnesses such as coughs, colds, and fever, as well as cholesterol checks and blood tests—examinations particularly needed by people aged 40 and above.
Patients requiring further treatment will be referred to the nearest hospital for more intensive care.
Participants can also obtain official health certificates from the attending doctors, though Colonel Kohir underlined that certificates will only be issued after a proper examination.
“No one can just come and ask for a certificate without being examined. The doctor must first confirm the patient’s condition,” he asserted.
In closing, he encouraged all residents to take advantage of the free health services.
“Even if you feel healthy, there is no harm in getting checked. We never truly know what is happening inside our bodies. I hope this activity helps the community stay healthy and strong,” Colonel Kohir concluded.
