en.malanginspirasi.com – PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) stated that one of its ships, the Pertamina Gamsunoro, has successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz safely since Wednesday, June 24, 2026 after meeting dozens of strict requirements.
The navigation of the world’s most strategic energy distribution has been successful, thanks to intensive cooperation between PIS, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Indonesian Embassy in Tehran, Iran, amidst global geopolitical uncertainty.
PIS Acting Corporate Secretary, Vega Pita, stated that the decision to depart the ship from the Arabian Gulf was made after a thorough evaluation and preparation process to ensure the safety of all assets and crew.
“We noted dozens of requirements that the ship must meet, ranging from insurance, technical and operational aspects, security, to crew readiness, so we decided the ship could begin sailing from the Arabian Gulf,” Vega said in an official statement as published on Info Publik.

To ensure safety during the voyage, the company implemented a multi-layered surveillance system.
Vega Pita stated that the monitoring of ship is 24/7, and the crew at sea continues to coordinate intensively with the onshore team stationed at the PIS crisis center.
These mitigation measures are taken to monitor developments in real time and ensure all operations are carried out with the utmost care.
The success of the Pertamina Gamsunoro shows PIS’s commitment to maintaining the stability of international shipping operations.
Following this success, PIS is now preparing another fleet still in the Arabian Gulf, the VLCC Pertamina Pride, to undertake similar operations, while still considering international recommendations and security risks.
“Thank you for the support and prayers of all parties and the Indonesian people for the Gamsunoro. We also ask for your support and prayers for the VLCC Pertamina Pride so that it can safely transit the Strait of Hormuz soon,” concluded Vega.
