“It’s been great. It’s been great to be back on British soil. The kids are happy in school and it gives me a chance to be able to really focus on the Invictus Games in Birmingham in July next year.”
Harry and Meghan gave up their roles as working royals and relocated to the US in 2020, but moved back to Britain last month.
They’re reportedly settling into a private home in the Cotswolds, outside London.
Their children, seven-year-old Archie and five-year-old Lilibet, had to switch schools within days of starting after the couple’s security team flagged worries about a long, traffic-heavy school run.
Meghan has kept a low public profile since the move, while Harry has stayed busy with Invictus Games commitments.
He recently toured a Birmingham school to kick off a games-inspired education initiative, joining pupils for pickleball and a lesson on prosthetic design.
The Invictus Games themselves run July 10–17 next year in Birmingham, drawing roughly 550 wounded, injured or sick service members and veterans from 25 countries across 12 adaptive sports.

Harry gave the CTV interview after a skydive in Toronto, done to keep a promise to a 102-year-old WWII veteran and to draw attention to military charities.
When asked why the family decided to return to the UK, he said there were “lots of reasons,” without going into detail.
The move comes amid reports that the couple were caught off guard by a letter, issued with the King’s approval, reaffirming their status as private citizens and instructing senior officials and military leaders on how to treat them accordingly.
Harry’s relationship with his father has remained tense since he and Meghan stepped away from royal duties.
Separately, the Sussexes are still awaiting word on whether they’ll get publicly funded security in the UK, as Ravec — the body responsible for royal and VIP protection — prepares to reassess their security level now that they’re living in the country full-time rather than just visiting.
