Malanginspirasi.com – The Al-Banjari Festival, held as part of Skamtech Days 2025, took place with great solemnity and enthusiasm on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at SMK Plus Almaarif Singosari. The competition, which began at 9:00 AM WIB, showcased maximum performances from participants at the SMP/MTs level.
One standout was the team from MTs Almaarif Singosari, which delivered a deeply emotive performance amid light drizzle approaching Asr prayer time.
Committee Chairman Hadi Kuncoro explained that the event served not only as a competition for junior high students but also as a platform to introduce and promote the host vocational school (SMK).
The event opened with the first participant from SMP Kartika 4-8 Malang. Each group consisted of 10 members: 5 terbang players in the back row, 1 lead vocalist, and 4 backing vocalists in the front.
This formation became the festival standard, emphasizing unity, harmonious shalawat recitation, and uniform, aesthetically pleasing drumming techniques.
Throughout the event, the committee allocated special breaks for Dzuhur and Asr prayers. These pauses ensured that all participants, organizers, judges, and spectators could perform their prayers in an orderly and devout manner.
This highlighted that Skamtech Days 2025 prioritized not just competition but also upheld religious values.

Light Drizzle
One of the most memorable moments occurred during MTs Almaarif Singosari’s performance. The light rain falling near Asr created a serene atmosphere, deepening the emotional impact of their shalawat and drawing rapt attention from the audience.
After each performance, participants received snacks and drinks to recharge their energy. The competition was judged by three professional jurors, each evaluating vocal quality, etiquette (adab), and terbang technique. This division ensured objective and comprehensive assessments to determine the top performers.
Hadi Kuncoro noted the high enthusiasm this year.
“The event was attended by 33 participants,” underscoring the strong interest among students in this Islamic arts competition,” he stated.
Spectator and participant chaperone Lukman praised the event’s grandeur:
“The event was luxurious, with a tall stage adorned with lights and banners featuring President Sukarno, adding to its beauty,” he said.
Host Performance and Winner Announcement
After the final participant and while awaiting the jury’s decision, the audience enjoyed a performance by the host’s hadrah group from SMK Almaarif Singosari’s children’s ensemble.
At the close of the Al-Banjari Festival in Skamtech Days 2025, the winners were announced as follows:
- 1st Place: Madrasah PIQ BA Al Murtadho (score: 91.75)
- 2nd Place: SMP Assa’idiyah Kepanjen (score: 90.5)
- 3rd Place: SMPN 04 Kepanjen (score: 90.25)
- Hope 1: Yayasan Pondok Modern Al Rifa’ie (score: 90)
- Hope 2: MTs Tribakti (score: 90)
“For the Hope 1 and 2 categories, both had identical total scores of 90. The jury used vocal scores as the tiebreaker: 35.50 for Al Rifa’ie and 33.75 for Tribakti. Therefore, Hope 1 went to Al Rifa’ie,” the committee explained.

The Skamtech Days 2025 Al-Banjari Festival proved that hadrah arts remain alive in the hearts of the younger generation. With full support from the school and participants, the event transcended mere competition, serving as a vessel to strengthen brotherhood and preserve shalawat traditions amid modern times.
