SDN 1 Kemantren Distributes Mid-Semester Report Cards, Strengthens Collaboration with Parents and School Committee

Malanginspirasi.com – State Elemtary School (SDN) 1 Kemantren, located in Jabung District, Malang Regency, held the distribution of mid-semester report cards for the 2025 academic year on Thursday, December 18, 2025.

The event, held in the school yard, served as a gathering for building relationships while evaluating synergy among the school, committee, and parents.

School Principal Roji’an, S.Pd., explained that besides distributing learning outcomes, the main agenda included presenting school programs proposed to the committee, particularly regarding the allocation of voluntary contributions from parents for school development.

“We invited parents for this report card distribution for two reasons. First, to strengthen ties, and second, so parents can witness the school’s progress every six months—in academics, non-academics, and facilities,” Roji’an said in an interview.

“Voluntary contributions from parents, managed by the committee, are used for facilities to support other activities,” he added.

Roji’an also expressed special appreciation for the school committee’s contributions.

“The role of the committee at SDN 1 Kemantren has been extraordinary,” he emphasized.

Supporting Government Programs and Semester Evaluation

During the event, the school encouraged parents to support the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG). Roji’an stressed that the program’s success depends heavily on parental support.

“We ask parents to help ensure children support and consume the provided MBG meals fully. This government program can succeed with support from the committee, teachers, principal, and parents,” Roji’an added.

He also highlighted the smooth implementation of the Sekolah Plus Ngaji (SPN) program in line with the Malang Regent’s decree during the odd semester.

Regarding facilities, the school continues routine maintenance.

“Good facilities are maintained, inadequate ones are improved, and damaged ones are proposed to the committee,” he explained.

Students’ Academic Progress

From the curriculum achievement perspective, Lelly Diah Anggraini, S.Pd., the Grade 3 homeroom teacher, noted positive developments despite only serving for two months.

She appreciated the 90% parental attendance.

“As a new teacher, I encourage students to catch up on material, as previous coverage seemed insufficient. Some can follow, others are still lagging, but overall, abilities in Science, Indonesian Language, and Mathematics have improved, alhamdulillah,” Lelly said.

She also urged parents to monitor children’s home studying.

“I ask that at home, please pay attention, and if possible with extra resources, consider tutoring,” she noted.

Holiday Announcement and Parental Guidance

The school officially set the year-end holiday from December 22, 2025, to January 4, 2026, with classes resuming on January 5, 2026.

Roji’an advised parents to continue guiding children’s character during the break.

“We hope parents maintain their role, including sustaining the 7 habits of outstanding Indonesian children. At home, continue filling in the children’s workbooks,” he concluded.
