An Inspiring Story of Rambak Sapi Happy Khan, Turning Obstacles into Opportunities with an ‘Anti-Complaint’ Mindset

Malanginspirasi.com – Happy Dwiyastuti, the owner of the successful rambak sapi (beef skin crackers) brand ‘Happy Khan,’ attributes her success to an “anti-sambat” mindset – a refusal to easily complain or be discouraged. Since 2009, Happy has built her business by transforming challenges into opportunities.

“I always see everything that happens as an opportunity. More precisely, how to turn obstacles into opportunities,” she explains.

She believes that eliminating the mental block that makes you feel incapable is essential.

Happy, who was born in Boyolali, recounts facing numerous challenges while growing her Rambak Sapi Happy Khan business.

“However, thanks to a positive mindset, I have always used every obstacle as a stepping stone to keep learning,” she says.

She even received a stern warning from her husband when her product began to take off, especially when she became too preoccupied with her business.

“But instead of dwelling on it, I immediately sought the meaning behind the reprimand. I realized there must be a positive message I should take,” states the former journalist.

This reprimand motivated her to work smarter by leveraging social media, drawing on her experience as a senior journalist.

“I turned my husband’s reprimand into an opportunity to find new ways to run the business without being too physically busy. That’s why I started looking for solutions to maximize online potential,” Happy continues.

She learned to utilize social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and WhatsApp Story to introduce her Rambak Sapi Happy Khan product.

“I learned how to create productive content by exploring various social media accounts that resonate with my goals. So I applied the ATM technique: Amati, Tiru, Modifikasi (Observe, Imitate, Modify),” she explains.

In addition, she relies on storytelling as a marketing tool. She acknowledges that this method is effective in building content that can attract potential customers.

Currently, Happy Khan has loyal offline customers for both cooked and raw rambak sapi. Customers come from shops, souvenir centers typical of Malang, hotels, cafes and restaurants.

“I don’t want to just imitate others, but being myself in the best version is the strength that makes my business remain attractive,” she concludes.
