His father, Richard Colón, confirmed the news on social media Thursday, writing, “I regret to inform you of the passing of my son Prichard from this earthly world. He is now in a better place.”

Once one of Puerto Rico’s most promising super welterweights, Colón began his professional career with an impressive 16-fight winning streak, including 13 knockouts.
