en.malanginspirasi.com – The Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Technology, and Mathematics (FSTeM), Brawijaya University (UB), successfully held the 2026 Entrepreneurship Expo and Friday Market at the Biology Building, FSTeM.
This event was held for the first time as a project output for the Entrepreneurship course.
The aim of the event is to provide a platform for students to introduce the creative and innovative products they had developed during their studies and to enhance their entrepreneurial skills and competencies.
Furthermore, this event provided a platform for students to apply their acquired knowledge through real-life entrepreneurial experiences by showing product exhibitions and product marketing activities.
The event exhibited thirty products from entrepreneurship course projects and four products from Biology Department students.
The event began with participant preparation and booth setup by all student teams. Each team showcased their unique product layouts to attract consumers.
Various successfully developed business products, ranging from food products and crafts to biology-based innovations, were presented at this event.
The event was opened by the MC, followed by remarks and the official opening by Mr. Yoga Dwi Jatmiko, S.Si., M.App.Sc., Ph.D., Head of the Biology Department.
In his remarks, he expressed his appreciation for the students’ creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, as well as the importance of practical business experience as preparation for the future world of work and industry.
The next series of activities included the announcement and awards for the winners of the previously held business proposal competition simulation.
The awards, in the form of prizes, were presented by Mr. Eko Suyanto, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., the entrepreneurship course coordinator.
This announcement recognized students who demonstrated the best results in developing business proposals and presenting (pitching) their business ideas.
Following the awards session, the event continued with a product exhibition and Friday Market.
During this session, participants presented various products and marketed their developed products to visitors.
The interaction between participants and visitors was very positive and interactive.
This activity obtained a very positive response, as evidenced by the high enthusiasm of both participants and visitors.
Participants not only offered products but also explained product concepts and the added value of the products displayed, and simultaneously conducted market research for product development.
This opportunity provided students with real-world experience in dealing with consumers, building business communications, building relationships, and honing their product promotion skills.
Visitors to this activity consisted of students, lecturers, educational staff, and academics from FSTeM and Universitas Brawijaya.
They had the opportunity to view various creative products and provide input on the participants’ businesses.

Toward the end of the event, an awards ceremony was held, recognizing the teams with the best achievements based on criteria determined by the committee and lecturers.
