en.malanginspirasi.com – The Faculty of Agroindustrial and Biosystems Technology (FTAB) of Brawijaya University (UB) continued its academic visit to Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) in Taiwan on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 after visiting National Taiwan University (NTU).
The Dean of FTAB UB, Prof. Yusuf Hendrawan, STP., M.App.Life.Sc., Ph.D., led the FTAB UB delegation along with the faculty.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Shih Cheh Hsu, Director of the Division of Cooperation and Recruitment, Office of International Affairs (OIA) CYCU, and Dr. Shih Lun Chen, Dean of the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science CYCU.
The meeting discussed concrete steps to implement the previously initiated collaboration.
The four main points of discussion focused on developing collaboration between inbound and outbound students, visits by FTAB UB lecturers pursuing further studies at CYCU, the development of dual degree programs, and strengthening joint research in the fields of agro-industrial technology, biosystems, and engineering.

Prof. Yusuf Hendrawan stated that CYCU is a strategic partner for FTAB UB because of its strengths in engineering and technology, which are highly relevant for collaboration with agro-industrial technology.
“Collaboration with CYCU will open up significant opportunities for students to gain international experience while strengthening impactful joint research. We also want to ensure that FTAB lecturers studying at CYCU receive optimal academic support,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dr. Shih Cheh Hsu welcomed the initiative of this continued collaboration and expressed CYCU’s readiness to facilitate mobility programs and collaborative research.
Through this visit, FTAB UB hopes that the collaboration can be implemented quickly in the coming semester, as part of accelerating the faculty’s internationalization towards becoming a World-Class Faculty.
