In an official statement released on Thursday, the band’s agency, JYP Entertainment, addressed the situation by stating they were deeply aware of the seriousness of the matter involving Gunil and had extensive discussions with the artist.
The agency added that they determined it would be difficult for him to continue team activities and mutually agreed to terminate his exclusive contract, concluding his activities with the band as of today.
Xdinary Heroes will move forward as a five-member group, with JYP Entertainment stating that it will provide full support to the remaining members to help them focus on their music.
Although the agency’s statement did not detail the exact cause, the departure follows an online post by an individual claiming to be Gunil’s former girlfriend.
