Two UB Instrumentation Physics Students Embark on Impactful Internship at Providence University, Taiwan under TEEP 2026

en.malanginspirasi.com –  UB has sent two standout students from the Instrumentation Study Program, Department of Physics, to participate in the prestigious Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP) 2026.

The students—Reynold Bennedict Gadmon and Reynald David Asher (Class of 2023)—are currently taking part in a four-month international internship running from September 9, 2026, to January 17, 2027.

This initiative stems from a strategic academic partnership between Universitas Brawijaya and Providence University, Taiwan, aimed at bolstering cross-border educational collaboration and expanding students’ technical horizons.

Throughout the program, the students receive dual mentorship from expert academics at both institutions.

Under the overall guidance of UB faculty member Prof. Dr. Eng. Agus Naba, S.Si., M.T., Reynold Bennedict Gadmon is conducting research under the supervision of Prof. Hsueh-Ting Chu, while Reynald David Asher works alongside Prof. Bernard Fong at Providence University.

The TEEP 2026 program provides these young researchers with an immersive platform to hone advanced technical expertise in instrumentation while navigating a multicultural academic setting.

Beyond specialized domain knowledge, the internship emphasizes global communication skills, adaptability, and high-level collaboration.

This initiative strongly underscores Universitas Brawijaya’s ongoing push toward campus internationalization.

By offering students direct exposure to global research standards, UB aims to elevate graduate competitiveness, broaden international faculty networks, and prepare future leaders for rapidly evolving technological challenges.

Furthermore, the program aligns directly with UB’s pledge toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), notably advancing SDG 4 (Quality Education) by expanding access to high-impact international research opportunities, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by equipping students with future-ready skills for the global job market, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through the robust inter-university synergy established between Indonesia and Taiwan.

By engaging in TEEP 2026, Gadmon and Asher set an inspiring precedent for their peers within the Department of Physics, proving how international mobility and cross-institutional research can elevate both academic performance and career prospects.
