Best known for playing Lavender Brown in the final three Harry Potter films, the 39-year-old actress shared with The Times that she netted roughly £15,000 ($20,000 USD) on her very first day after joining the platform in 2025.
Within a single year, her earnings bypassed everything she had ever made in the entertainment industry.
“I’ve earned more, easily, than my entire acting career within one year,” Cave told the outlet.

Initially, she felt a strong sense of shame about signing up, writing on her Substack that it felt like proof of her failure to make or keep money as an actress and writer despite nearly two decades in the arts.
However, what she expected to be a brief stopgap turned out to be a financial lifeline for her and her fiancé, comedian Alfie Brown, with whom she shares four children.
“It has genuinely saved our lives,” she admitted.
The Trade-Offs and Tensions
Despite the financial security, the transition has brought its own set of challenges.
Because she refuses to post nude or sexually explicit material, Cave worries her earning potential on the platform may eventually hit a ceiling.
She confessed that she does not know how long she can maintain her income without offering more explicit material, noting that while she enjoys parts of the work, the financial reality means she cannot afford to stop.
Furthermore, the platform’s reputation has spilled over into her traditional career opportunities.
Cave revealed on Substack that she was dropped from a Harry Potter fan convention after organizers explained the event was a family show and viewed OnlyFans as affiliated with pornography.
