en.malanginspirasi.com – Arne Slot is the clear candidate of the Netherlands national team coach while his former club, Liverpool, is ready to make the transition a whole lot smoother.
Despite being out of a job for just six weeks following his departure from Anfield, the 47-year-old tactician remains in high demand.
After being linked to AC Milan and turning down an offer from Fulham, Slot has now emerged as the number-one candidate to succeed Ronald Koeman.
Koeman resigned following the Dutch team’s round-of-32 exit from the World Cup.
Typically, sacked managers lose the remainder of their severance payout if they sign with a new team.
However, De Telegraaf’s Marcel van der Kraan reports that Liverpool is breaking tradition to help Slot land the international gig.

Liverpool is still paying off the remainder of the three-year deal Slot signed in 2024, which is worth a total of €30 million through 2027.
If Slot accepts the Netherlands job, Liverpool will subsidize his income.
He can negotiate a lower salary with the Dutch FA, and Liverpool will cover the difference to ensure he still takes home his full Anfield wage.
This generous move removes a major financial hurdle.
Interestingly, Van der Kraan notes that Liverpool would not have offered this financial cushion had Slot chosen to sign with a Premier League rival.
While Slot is the favorite, the Dutch FA has a few other names on their radar if talks stall.
The first one is Louis van Gaal, as this legendary manager could be poised for a fourth stint, having recently left his advisory post at Ajax.
Meanwhile, other candidates include current Netherlands U21 boss Michael Reiziger and Koeman’s former assistant, Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Some other candidates may include PSV Eindhoven’s Peter Bosz and Slot’s former Liverpool assistant, John Heitinga.
Since leaving Merseyside, Slot has kept a low profile, spending vacation time with his family in Ibiza and the U.S.
While he isn’t rushing back into the grueling routine of club football, the chance to lead his country might be an offer too good to refuse, especially with Liverpool footing the bill.
