EN.malanginspirasi.com – The Ministry of Manpower officially launched the Talent and Innovation Hub (TIH) on Tuesday (28/4/2026), marking a significant shift in the country’s approach to workforce development. The program is designed to strengthen collaboration between young talent and the business sector in a bid to generate new employment opportunities.
The launch, held at the Job Opportunity Expansion Center (BPKK) in Bekasi, was attended virtually by thousands of participants from across the archipelago. The initiative is expected to serve as a strategic solution to the persistent mismatch between workforce competencies and current industry needs.
Minister of Manpower Yassierli stated that TIH represents a major transformation of the Job Opportunity Expansion Centers. The program moves beyond the traditional focus on vocational training, aiming instead to build a comprehensive ecosystem that integrates training, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
“We want this center to be a meeting place, a discussion space, a venue to develop ideas, innovations, and entrepreneurship. And insyallah, our center is ready to facilitate this,” Yassierli said during the launch ceremony.
Through TIH, the minister explained that talents are not only being prepared as job seekers but are being actively encouraged to become job creators. The program encompasses competency strengthening based on industry demands, including digital skills, artificial intelligence (AI), and entrepreneurship, alongside a dedicated focus on capacity building for people with disabilities.
Participants will move beyond conventional training models, engaging instead in project-based learning aimed at producing products or solutions that are aligned with real market demands.
“Through the Talent and Innovation Hub, we want to ensure that Indonesia not only possesses excellent talent but is also capable of empowering that talent to create inclusive innovations with tangible impact,” he added.

Beyond skills training, TIH offers a comprehensive business incubation program for startups and business actors. Participants will receive intensive mentorship covering the entire entrepreneurial journey—from idea development and market validation to the formulation of a sustainable business model.
The program also facilitates knowledge-sharing sessions, talk shows themed around talent innovation and inclusive recruitment, and business matching services that connect talents, startups, and business actors directly with industries and potential investors.
Yassierli concluded by issuing an open invitation for multi-sector collaboration.
“We invite the public, through organizations, foundations, or associations, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with our Center. Though limited, we have a budget. We have instructors, and we have a network,” he stated.
The Ministry hopes that TIH will give rise to superior talents, relevant training certification schemes, and fresh innovations that generate a real impact on the economy and job creation throughout Indonesia.
