Spain crowned their World Cup campaign earlier this month with a dramatic 1-0 extra-time win over Argentina in the final, securing La Roja’s second global crown.
The 28-year-old left-back, who completed a £52 million transfer to Real Madrid from Chelsea in June, shared photos and video on social media showcasing the process.
The artwork features De la Fuente proudly lifting the World Cup trophy set against the number 26, captioned simply: “Promise kept.”

Speaking after the final, De la Fuente took the wager in good humor.
“I’ve already told them, ‘did you make a mistake?’ They did, but they’ll enjoy it. I’m not so terribly ugly that they will need to put it somewhere nobody can see it. But it makes me laugh and I am proud they keep their promises.”
Cucurella’s World Cup triumph featured a few unique personal quirks.
Throughout the tournament in North America, he carried his wife’s pajama top in his bag as a personal lucky charm.
He also revealed that he maintains his signature long, curly hair so his young child can easily spot him on the pitch during matches.
