Malanginspirasi.com – Subversif UM, in collaboration with BEM Universitas Negeri Malang (UM), recently hosted “Reaksi Kreasi 2025”, an annual event centered around visual art.
Held on April 10th, 2025, in the FIS UM parking lot, the event adopted the theme “The Abstraction of Taste: Emotion in Form and Color.”
Reaksi Kreasi 2025 served as a vibrant platform for artistic expression and appreciation, drawing participants from across UM and beyond.
The event showcased the power of collaboration, not only between Subversif UM and BEM UM, but also with various Autonomous Art Organizations (LSOs) from different faculties within the university. This collaborative spirit fostered a valuable exchange of knowledge and strengthened bonds within the UM art community.
A key highlight of Reaksi Kreasi 2025 was a talkshow featuring art expert Bambang Suprapto.
Suprapto shared his insights on proper art techniques and the profound philosophical meanings embedded within art forms. This insightful session provided valuable learning opportunities for both aspiring artists and seasoned enthusiasts.

The event itself served as a conduit for ideas between art creators and appreciators.
Reaksi Kreasi 2025 was free of charge, making it accessible to a wide range of students interested in visual art, regardless of their faculty affiliation.
Beyond the exhibition of visual art, Reaksi Kreasi 2025 offered a diverse range of performances, including band performances, modern and traditional dance, and theatrical acts.
These performances were contributed by various campus organizations such as ARTPSIUM, PMV, ASWA, LAISOS, OPIUM, NAFAS, SIMPEL, OPERET, and SODA, adding to the event’s vibrant and engaging atmosphere.
According to Sabrian Akbar Pangestu, the Head Organizer, the exhibited artwork primarily featured pieces created by members of Subversif UM.

Notably, artwork by the guest speaker, Bambang Suprapto, was also on display for attendees to admire.
The event successfully attracted students from the Faculty of Social Sciences (FIS), members of the various Autonomous Art Organizations (LSOs), and general students interested in art.
The primary goal of Reaksi Kreasi was to encourage students to bravely express their artistic visions and convey the deeper meanings within their creations.
