Dua Duo HOME Invites Malang’s Youth to Celebrate Creativity

EN.MALANGINSPIRASI.COM – The “Dua Duo HOME” art exhibition by Hamur Artspace, running from January 31 to February 7, 2026, is not aimed solely at artists but can also be enjoyed by the general public. This was emphasized by Hamur Art Space owner Agni Pratiwi, who stated that the event is open to anyone.

“This event targets all segments of society. Not just those involved in the visual arts world, but anyone,” she explained to Malang Inspirasi reporters on Saturday evening, January 31, 2026.

She even noted that the art studio is open to elementary and junior high school students who are interested in visual arts.

“We are thrilled if they show interest. However, it doesn’t mean they have to become artists. It’s about allowing them to explore their creativity,” said Agni.

This graduate of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts in Yogyakarta revealed that many parents today want their children to spend less time on gadgets.

“Through visual art creativity, it not only trains the hands but also the brain,” she added.

Her hope is that this exhibition by two young artists will spark interest among the younger generation in the art world.

“The interest is actually quite good, although the majority are students from UB (Universitas Brawijaya) and UM (Universitas Negeri Malang),” she continued.

However, she mentioned that even before this event, a student from UMM (Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang) participated in an exhibition.

“Even though she has no academic background in visual arts. This certainly proves that many young people are passionate about art,” she elaborated.

The exhibition runs until February 7 at Hamur Art Space, located at Jl. Cisadane No. 11A, Blimbing, Malang City. It showcases artworks from two Malang-based artists: Aksan and Ilyas Badnews.

Each has their own unique style.

Aksan’s works offer a blend of imagination and technology, closely associated with retro-futuristic and dieselpunk aesthetics.

Meanwhile, Ilyas Badnews’s works prioritize alternative cyanotype printing techniques.

This exhibition is not merely about conveying the meaning of “home.” It is also about creating a shared space where various stories can coexist harmoniously.
