Violence During Arsenal Title Celebrations Six Stabbed, 24 Arrested

en.malanginspirasi.com – While hundreds of thousands of fans celebrated Arsenal’s Premier League title celebration in north London on Sunday, May 31st, the event was marred by violence.

It resulted in six stabbings and 24 arrests.

Most stabbing victims sustained minor injuries, though a man in his 20s was hospitalized in critical condition following an attack on Hornsey Road; he is now stable.

The Metropolitan Police deployed over 500 officers, several of whom were injured, including one who suffered a slash wound and another struck by flying objects.

The 24 arrests included 10 for assaulting police officers, three for sexual assault, and one for grievous bodily harm.

Property damage was also reported, including vandalized police vans, while the London Fire Brigade had to rescue 75 fans from rooftops.

Cdr Stuart Bell thanked the law-abiding majority but condemned the late-night violence and gang-related incidents that triggered overnight stop-and-search powers. Investigations are ongoing.

He added that violence and other criminality would not be tolerated.
