EN.malanginspirasi.com – Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid has reminded all employees of her ministry to maintain high performance and excellent public service standards even as the department prepares to implement the Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy ahead of Idulfitri 1447 H.
She stressed that the flexibility offered by remote work must never become an excuse to lower commitment to serving the public.
“Even though we will soon enter the Work From Anywhere period, everyone must still contribute fully,” Meutya Hafid said while opening the Sarasehan and Taklimat event themed “Connected in Silaturahmi, Growing in Faith, Guarded in Piety” in Central Jakarta on Friday (13 March 2026).
The minister underlined that the upcoming WFA policy cannot be used as a reason for any decline in performance.
Every employee, she said, remains obligated to deliver the best possible service to the public regardless of their working location.
Meta Meets Digital Minister
A day earlier, global digital giant Meta sent its representative for a direct meeting with Minister Meutya Hafid.
Rafael Frankel, Director of Public Policy for Southeast Asia, visited the Ministry of Communication and Digital on behalf of Meta’s headquarters to discuss improvements in platform compliance with Indonesia’s digital regulations.
During the meeting, Meutya Hafid reaffirmed that all digital platforms operating in Indonesia must obey national laws and protect citizens—especially children. She welcomed Meta’s visit as a concrete step toward stronger collaboration.
“I want to make it clear that yesterday’s surprise inspection of Meta’s office was not merely symbolic. Improvements will happen and must happen. This meeting focused on concrete steps to enhance compliance with Indonesian regulations, including stronger user protection systems and faster coordination mechanisms between platforms and the government,” she asserted.

Meutya added that the Indonesian government remains open to dialogue with all digital platforms.
However, she made one principle non-negotiable: any company operating in Indonesia must fully respect and comply with all applicable regulations.
The discussions also addressed the surge in health-related disinformation and the rising number of financial hoaxes and scams. Meta acknowledged these concerns and expressed readiness to work closely with the government to strengthen prevention mechanisms.
The engagement forms part of the Ministry of Communication and Digital’s broader efforts to ensure Indonesia’s digital ecosystem is safer, more transparent, and better protects public interests in the lead-up to Idulfitri.
