EN.malanginspirasi.com – Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) hosted its annual Halalbihalal Keluarga Besar ITS 1447 Hijriah on Monday, 30 March 2026, at Grha Sepuluh Nopember, bringing together the entire academic community in a powerful moment of reflection and renewed kinship.
The event served as a platform to reinforce internal collaboration while underscoring the university’s ongoing commitment to delivering tangible contributions to wider society.
In his opening remarks, Rector Prof. Dr. (HC) Ir. Bambang Pramujati, S.T., M.Sc.Eng., Ph.D., described Halalbihalal as a collective space for introspection aimed at strengthening campus-wide synergy. Carrying the theme “Resilient Human Resources with Noble Character as the Pillar of Institutional Progress,” the gathering was designed to equip all members of the ITS community to navigate an increasingly complex global landscape.
Prof. Bambang Pramujati also spotlighted the university’s rising international visibility, attributing the achievement to the collective hard work of every element within the campus. He stressed that these accomplishments reflect not only technical competence but also the deep spirit of contribution toward the advancement of human civilization.
“Collaboration among all members of the academic community is our main strength as we step together into the future,” he asserted.
Positive Impact on Society
Aligning with this vision, Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), KH Muhammad Cholil Nafis, delivered a tausiyah emphasizing that the true measure of an institution’s success lies in the scale of its positive impact on society. Knowledge and technology, he noted, only hold real value when they address concrete community needs.
“Impact does not have to be massive, but it must be felt and must deliver benefit,” he added.

KH Cholil Nafis further connected the spiritual values of Ramadan to the development of human resources who are not only intellectually superior but also possess strong moral integrity and a clear orientation toward societal benefit. The Madura-born scholar stated that impactful campuses are born from individuals driven by a profound intention to serve.
As concrete proof of this commitment, ITS — through its 47th Ramadan Series on Campus (RDK) program and the Manarul Ilmi Foundation (YMI) ITS — has channeled significant social assistance.
This year, RDK successfully distributed more than three tons of zakat and fidyah rice to surrounding communities, while YMI mobilized and delivered grant funds benefiting over 100,000 recipients.
Awards Hafiz Students
The Halalbihalal celebration was further enlivened by the presentation of symbolic awards to three outstanding male hafiz students and five female hafizah students, representing a total of 14 awardees, along with three Umrah packages for members of the ITS community. These honors serve as both appreciation and a firm institutional pledge to nurture graduates who excel academically, spiritually, and in character.

The event also reflects ITS’s active support for United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17 on Partnerships for the Goals. Through collaboration with Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), the university aims to solidify its role as a higher education institution that excels not only in education and research but also in generating genuine social impact for the broader community.
