en.malanginspirasi.com – The People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) has officially canceled the re-run of the Cerdas Cermat Four Pillars (LCC 4 Pilar) final at the West Kalimantan provincial level for 2026.
The decision is due to the official refusals from the two main participating schools, SMAN 1 Pontianak and SMAN 1 Sambas, to take part in the re-competition.
The cancellation has also received full agreement from all factions in the MPR RI.
Chairman of the MPR RI Socialization Agency, Abraham Liyanto, stated that the MPR had met with representatives from both schools.
“Both schools agreed that there is no need for a re-competition. The MPR RI respects this stance and has decided to cancel the planned final re-run,” Liyanto said at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Monday (18/5/2026).
He also mentioned that both schools have truly implemented the learning of four pillars.
“Both schools have truly implemented the learning of four pillars like tolerance and unity that they uphold, that
SMA 1 Sambas will represent West Kalimantan to the finals,” he continued.

Cerdas Cermat 4 Pilar final for West Kalimantan was held in Pontianak in early May 2026.
SMAN 1 Sambas was declared the winner, with SMAN 1 Pontianak as runner-up.
However, the results sparked controversy over alleged unfair jury scoring, including differing points for similar answers between teams.
The issue went viral on social media and drew widespread public attention.
On May 13, 2026, MPR RI Chairman Ahmad Muzani announced plans to hold a re-run with new independent judges.
The original jury and MC were temporarily deactivated.
Nevertheless, SMAN 1 Pontianak firmly refused to participate, choosing to respect the original results and support SMAN 1 Sambas as West Kalimantan’s representative. SMAN 1 Sambas conveyed a similar position.
With the cancellation, SMAN 1 Sambas will proceed as West Kalimantan’s representative to the national level of the MPR RI LCC 4 Pilar 2026.
The MPR RI announced it will evaluate the judging system for future events to ensure greater transparency and fairness.
MPR leadership expressed appreciation for the mature attitude of both schools and noted that the decision avoids unnecessary budget expenditure and prolonged controversy.
