Kapolresta Malang Kota Strengthen Student Character Through School Visits Amid Rising Provocations Online

en.malanginspirasi.com – In response to the increasing number of demonstrations in Jakarta and several other regions, Malang City Police Chief (Kapolresta) Senior Commissioner (Kombes Pol) Putu Kholis Aryana, ordered all Principal Officials (PJU), Sector Police Chiefs (Kapolsek), and Community Police Officers (Bhabinkamtibmas) to conduct school visits.

They include high schools, vocational schools, and equivalent schools in Malang City on Monday, June 15th, 2026.

The visits and outreach to educational settings are to provide guidance, education, and character building, preventing juvenile delinquency, including negative environmental influences and misinformation on social media.

Kapolresta Malang Kota emphasized that students play a crucial role as the nation’s future generation and must focus on education, self-development, and positive activities that support their future.

“We have instructed all ranks to be present among the students. Our main goal is to build communication, strengthen character development. And remind the younger generation not to be easily influenced by invitations that could harm themselves or their future,” said Putu Kholis.

According to him, students should respond the rampant information and invitations via social media wisely.

“Students must be a critical generation, intelligent in filtering information, and not easily provoked by issues or invitations whose veracity is unclear. Their main focus is on studying, achieving success, and preparing for the future,” he stated.

Sabilillah Islamic High School Visit by Kapolsek Lowokwaru

Meanwhile, Lowokwaru Police Chief (Kapolsek), Commissioner Anang Tri Hananta, along with  the Head of the Community Development Unit, the Head of Public Relations of the Lowokwaru Police, and the Community Service Officer (Bhabinkamtibmas) of Tunjungsekar Village, visited Sabilillah Islamic High School on Jalan Kakap No. 01, Tunjungsekar Village.

Police Commissioner Anang spoke directly with school officials, including the Public Relations Officer, Head of Administration, Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers, and students.

Representing Polresta Malang Kota, Police Commissioner Anang delivered various public order and security messages.

They relate to student character building, preventing juvenile delinquency, the dangers of drug abuse, bullying, illegal racing, alcohol consumption, brawls, and the spread of irresponsible information through social media.

“We encourage students to become a generation that makes their parents and schools proud. Don’t let your future be ruined just by participating in negative activities or being influenced by unsubstantiated invitations. Be a pioneer of security, a pioneer of discipline, and a pioneer of achievement,” said Police Commissioner Anang on Monday.

Alert on Provocative Messages on Social Media

He explained that various information can now easily spread through social media and instant messaging applications.

“Don’t be easily provoked by invitations sent via social media or WhatsApp chain messages that lead to illegal actions. If you encounter any questionable information, consult your teachers, parents, or authorities to avoid becoming a victim of provocation or hoaxes,” he advised.

Collaboration between schools, families, and the police is a key to building a safe, comfortable, and conducive educational environment.

Through these visits and gatherings, the Malang City Police hope to foster closer communication between the police and the education sector, so there will be early prevention of potential disturbances to public order and security.
