en.malanginspirasi.com – The Indonesian government has secured IDR 13.2 trillion in administrative fines and reclaimed control of extensive illegal forest lands during Phase VIII of its national enforcement drive.
The Forest Area Orderly Task Force (Satgas PKH) in collaboration with the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia, officially handed over administrative fines.
President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto attended the official handover event and progress report at the Attorney General’s Office headquarters in Jakarta.
Attorney General ST Burhanuddin reported that the IDR 13.24 trillion collected comprises administrative fines from the forestry sector, Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) handled by the Attorney General’s Office through special crime prosecutions, as well as tax revenues and environmental fines collected from taxpayers following up on Task Force enforcement.
All recovered funds have been directly deposited into the state treasury through the Ministry of Finance in a transparent and accountable manner.

In addition to financial recoveries, the government successfully reclaimed control over vast areas of forest land previously occupied illegally by various corporations in the plantation and mining sectors.
In this eighth phase, hundreds of thousands of hectares of forested land were returned to state control under the Ministry of Forestry to be managed for public interest and environmental sustainability.
In his address, President Prabowo Subianto praised the hard work of the Attorney General’s Office, the Task Force, and related ministries for their consistency in safeguarding national assets from illegal forest encroachment.
The President emphasized that enforcement efforts and legal actions against illegal land use will inevitably face challenges and resistance.
Yet, the government remains firmly committed to defending the rights of the people and securing national resources.
