UB Faculty of Vocational Studies Launches 5 New Applied Bachelor Programs

en.malanginspirasi.com –  The Faculty of Vocational Studies at Brawijaya University (UB)  officially opened five new study programs at the Diploma 4 (Applied Bachelor) level.

This policy was ratified through a Rector’s Decree from UB and already got the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemendikti Saintek) to produce competent graduates ready to work in the modern industrial world.

The opening of these new study programs is specifically designed to address the challenges of modern industry, which requires experts with high practical skills and a strong conceptual understanding in digital technology, the creative industry, and food and beverage (F&B).

Those five study programs are Digital Marketing, Software Engineering Technology, Digital Banking and Finance, Property and Business Valuation, and Food Service Business.

Each with its own operating permit.

The Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Studies at UB, Mukhammad Kholid Mawardi, S.Sos., M.A.B., Ph.D., emphasized that the issuance of this operating permit demonstrates the government’s strong confidence in the quality of applied education at UB, which remains committed to delivering academic and practical standards that are relevant to the times.

“The issuance of this operating permit is a significant mandate for us to produce talent that is not only work-ready but also adaptable to disruption. Through the five new study programs that have been inaugurated, we are providing technical expertise with technological mastery, and ensuring that every UB Vocational graduate becomes a driver of a more modern and sustainable Indonesian creative economy and tourism,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Studies at Brawijaya University, Dr. A. Faidlal Rahman, SE.Par., M.Sc., CHE, stated that the curriculum for this new study program was developed in collaboration with practitioners and industry associations.

“We don’t just produce graduates with diplomas, but also competency certifications that are recognized nationally and internationally. Through this new study program, students will spend more time in industrial laboratories and participate in project-based learning internships, enabling them to meet current industry needs.”

The Faculty of Vocational Studies has also prepared state-of-the-art supporting facilities to support the teaching and learning process in this new study program.

The facilities are designed comprehensively, from representative classrooms for in-depth theoretical study to dedicated practice rooms designed to mimic real-life work environments.

These practice rooms ensure that students can optimally hone their hands-on skills from an early age.

With the presence of this new study program and the support of adequate theoretical and practical facilities, the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Universitas Brawijaya, hopes to continue to be a driving force behind vocational education in Indonesia, linking and matching the needs of the workforce and industry.
