Prasetyo clarified that the rumors, which recently gained significant traction and trended on social media, are entirely false.
“It is not true,” Prasetyo stated when questioned by journalists regarding the rumor.
He noted that topics trending on social media do not automatically reflect official facts.
“Many topics trend, but that does not mean they are true, which becomes the issue. While all parties are encouraged to assist, it is simply not within their authority to act as official coordinators,” Prasetyo explained.

However, forming a new task force is currently unnecessary as existing inter-agency mechanisms remain strong.
Suppression efforts are currently being reinforced with additional ground personnel, specialized gear, and water-bombing helicopters operating directly in hotspot areas.
