EN.malanginspirasi.com – Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) continues to strengthen its commitment to providing inclusive access to higher education. Through the Beasiswa Garuda Sarjana 2026 program, prospective new students can now pursue joint degree or double degree programs at ITS and renowned international partner campuses.
The Beasiswa Garuda Sarjana is a scholarship initiative launched by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) of the Republic of Indonesia.
The program specifically targets the nation’s top talents from underrepresented backgrounds. It is funded through the Education Endowment Fund managed by the Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (LPDP) and coordinated by the Directorate General of Science and Technology (Ditjen Saintek) under Kemdiktisaintek RI.
For 2026, Beasiswa Garuda Sarjana is open to all Indonesian citizens (WNI) who meet the eligibility criteria. Participants must be current Class XII students from senior high schools (SMA), vocational high schools (SMK), or madrasah aliyah (MA) in the 2025/2026 academic year.
Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs at ITS, Prof. Nurul Widiastuti S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., explained that the scholarship offers two schemes. One key scheme is the joint degree (JD) or double degree (DD) pathway between domestic universities and overseas partner institutions (PTLN).
“ITS is proud to be selected as one of only seven public universities partnering in the Beasiswa Garuda program,” she stated.
Aligned with ITS’s internationalization vision, the JD/DD program is implemented across 10 International Undergraduate Program (IUP) study programs at ITS in collaboration with leading foreign universities.
Successful applicants will receive dual degrees or a joint degree from prestigious international institutions.

Registration for ITS International Undergraduate Programs (IUP) is divided into three waves:
- Wave 1: 12 January – 25 February 2026 (closed)
- Wave 2: 1 April – 6 May 2026
- Wave 3: 3 – 30 June 2026
Meanwhile, registration for Beasiswa Garuda Sarjana 2026 is divided into two waves:
- Wave 1: 15 February – 15 March 2026
- Wave 2: 25 May – 25 June 2026
Prof. Nurul Widiastuti, a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at ITS, further detailed the comprehensive benefits.
The scholarship fully covers educational expenses including tuition fees (SPP), registration fees, and education allowances. Additional support funds include international airfare, visa application fees, health insurance, arrival costs, monthly living stipends, and emergency assistance.
The integration of ITS’s IUP programs with the Beasiswa Garuda Sarjana initiative demonstrates the university’s strong support for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
