en.malanginspirasi.com –  Samapta Unit of The Malang City Police (Polresta Malang Kota) accompanied six students who were undergoing a misdemeanor trial at the Malang District Court on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

The six defendants appeared with their parents as part of a guidance approach that emphasizes family responsibility, legal education, and the prevention of juvenile delinquency.

All defendants were charged with violating Article 316 of the Criminal Code regarding drinking alcoholic beverages in public.

The Head of Operations (Kabag Ops) Polresta Malang Kota, Wiwin Rusli, explained that the Satsamapta assistance aims to ensure the legal process runs smoothly and provide guidance to prevent the students from repeating their actions.

“This minor offense trial serves as an educational tool. We also continue to actively conduct outreach to schools and are ready to provide guidance to prevent students from engaging in harmful behavior again,” said Commissioner Wiwin.

The confiscated evidence included several bottles of arak, mixed vodka, and drums, which will be destroyed.

The six defendants are identified as TN (19), MYA (18), MAN (19), MFY (19), FRSN (18), and RAR (17).

Meanwhile, the Head of Community Service Unit (Kasatsamapta), Yoyok Ucuk Suyono, explained that the six students were previously detained during a routine patrol, when officers discovered them consuming alcohol in a public space.

“We detained them while our officers were on patrol and discovered alcohol consumption in a public place,” explained Commissioner Yoyok.

The police’s goal, in addition to enforcing regulations, is also to provide a deterrent effect, especially for teenagers, so they understand that drinking can be dangerous, disrupt public order, and potentially lead to other crimes.

Polresta Malang Kota’s approach doesn’t stop at the trial. Each defendant also makes a written statement promising not to repeat their actions.

Parents are also actively involved so that guidance continues within the family and school environment, so that adolescents receive better supervision and support.

Synergy between the police, families, educational institutions, and the community is key to developing the character of a disciplined and responsible young generation.

“We need to emphasize that law enforcement can go hand in hand with guidance and concern for the future of the younger generation,” concluded Kompol Wiwin.
